Erected along the new Via Populi in the mid-16th century and attributed to Vignola, the building was built on the initiative of the Perugian Serroberti family, enriched in the 17th and 18th centuries with fountains, sculptures and frescoes and enlarged in the 19th century by Civiltà Cattolica.
